Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actress. She is most famous for her role as Skyler White on The AMC show Breaking Bad for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actor in the Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. She played Jean Ward and Martha Bullock, respectively, in The Practice. She was born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in the year 1968, Anna Gunn fell in love with acting in Preparatory School, before her family relocated to Ohio at the end of the 1970's. She was a theatre student in the theatre department at Northwestern University and spent a semester studying at the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her professional career in Chicago-area theatres for a couple of years. She then moved on to TV and film. In 1992 Anna got her first major character as Arden in the 29th episode of Down the Shore. Anna continued to be in film and television shows like Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and others until late the 1990's. She was then selected for The Practice as Jean Ward. The role was played by Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons during the 2000s. The show was recast as Skyler in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in the year 2008. Sully was the Deadwood film and a few other films included her. Gunn appeared on stage in David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers. Gunn was in the role of Numbered Days, a four part audio podcast in 2022. Breaking Bad revolves around Walter White's marriage to Skyler. Walter White's life story as well as the stress on the marriage he shares with Skyler can be seen in the show.
